Mads spent four years combining golf and education in the USA. In his first year he played for Ranger College in Texas, where he averaged 73.5 and was named to the NJCAA Division I PING All-South Central District Team.

He then moved on to the University of Toledo in Ohio, representing the Toledo Rockets in American Division I college golf. There he competed against some of the best young golfers in the USA and played 87 tournament rounds for the university.

His best college finish was a share of fifth at the Seahawk Intercollegiate, where he finished four under par with rounds of 76, 64 and 69. The performance also earned him MAC Golfer of the Week.

His time in the USA gave Mads valuable international experience and developed his game, his independence and his professional approach to golf. Alongside the sport he studied marketing. Since returning to Denmark he has continued his development as part of Odense Eventyr Golf Elite.

Mads represents a new generation of Danish golfers who combine talent and focused training with international experience. The years in American college golf gave him a strong training culture and a clear sense of how much the small details matter when you want to keep improving.

His approach to golf is simple: there is always something that can be better. That applies to technique, fitness, the mental game and preparation alike. It is a mindset that makes Mads a natural match for Lexton Links.
